Q:  How do we learn more about a house we saw on your website?
A:  If you find a house you are interested in and would like to tour the house, call or email us to set up an appointment.  We will meet with you and your group and answer all questions and review all leasing terms. Usually there is an opportunity to talk to tenants that are currently living in the house and you can ask them questions about their experience in the house.

Q:  How do we secure a house once we decided we want it?
A:  The first step is for everyone in your group to fill out a rental application form and return it to us for review. Second, a deposit is required to fully secure the house. Deposits are typically one months rent.

Q: Do you allow pets?
A: We allow cats and dogs at some of our properties with a signed pet lease. Sabel Rentals will determine if a pet is allowed at the specific property. There is a non-refundable pet fee. If a pet is discovered without permission there will be a charge of $25.00 per day from the beginning of the lease to the day the pet was discovered. There is no fee for fish or hamsters. No rabbits or ferrets allowed.

Q: Do you offer shorter lease terms?
A: No, our leases run from May to May. Only under special circumstances we will offer a shorter term lease. 

Q: When and where do I pay my rent?
A:  We collect rent in quarterly installments that are due on May 1st,  August 1st, November 1st, and February 1st of your lease year. We allow a 3 day grace period. After that a 10% late fee will be charged.  You can send your rent check to Sabel Rentals at 50 Ohio Ave., Athens, Ohio, 45701. Or you can deliver your rent in person by coming to our home office located at 50 Ohio Ave. in Athens.  

Q: Can we have two people share a bedroom?
A:  We allow sharing bedrooms when it is permissible under the Athens City Code occupancy levels. Certain neighborhoods allow or prohibit this. Ask us if you plan on doing this and we will let you know if it is possible.
